The School of Management (SOM) Universiti Sains Malaysia, Penang, Malaysia in collaboration with USAINS Holding Sdn Bhd (100% subsidiary of USM) is organising a workshop on “Malaysian Derivatives Market Future & Options” on 8 & 9 March 2010 at Kompleks Eureka, USM, Penang.

Malaysian Derivatives Market Future & Options workshop is specifically for those who are in the process preparing for the SC Licensing Examinations. All modules and topics presented are in-line with SC examination modules.

• Hedging strategy using equity index futures, commodity futures, financial futures and options;
• Profiting from arbitraging activity on overprice or under price derivative instruments;

COURSE CO-ORDINATOR


MR. AHMAD ZAINUDDIN SALLEH holds a Bachelor of Management Degree (Hons.) specializing in Finance from Universiti Sains Malaysia and a Master Degree in Economics specialising in Finance from Universiti Putra Malaysia. Previously he is a Dual License Dealer’s Representative and has passed the Securities Commission Examination on Module 6 & 7 on equity market and Module 1, 2, 3 & 12 on futures market.

He has more than 5 years of working experience in capital market particularly in equity and futures market. Previously he has attached to several Investment Banks in Kuala Lumpur such as RHB Securities, TA Securities and OSK Securities. His work experience encompassed various trading departments responsible for marketing, dealing and executing for retail, corporate, institutional, foreign clients and inter-broker trades as well as managing clients’ portfolio.

Mr. Ahmad Zainuddin is currently a lecturer in Finance Department at the School of Management, Universiti Sains Malaysia specializing in financial derivative and financial risk management. He has been teaching financial derivatives for 5 years. For the past two years he is also the External Question Writer on Futures & Options Modules for the Securities Commission Licensing Examination.
