i got the chance to watch cicakman 2 media preview last week...it was quite good. A film not to be missed by all malay movie lovers.
Che ab, i've seen the promo on tv, and when i saw it, i think of spiderman also some scenes are quite similar to Mission Impossible and The Matrix
correct..there are some scene which duplicate a few of hollywood movies (matrix, spiderman etc.), however the effort of doing this genre by KRU is such a huge achievement and we should be proud of it as we have topped other countries in asia.
using pre-set software... can get that installer cd's anywhere..the ideas that they took was lame... dude...dont make any recycle movie take it from the others especially hollywood.. in this case stephen chow is better when he come out with an idea that using CGI's n Graphic Special effects thing to make a movie.. he doing a good 'chinese look' movie. instead copying hollywood boxoffice ideas.. go n see Kungfu Hustle
yeah, im a fan of Stephen Chow...but my favorite was still his boxoffice movie Shoalin Kungfu...i can watch the filem couple of time but still laughing at it. Its just brilliant...i think he's a genious because what i've seen on P Ramlee movie are there. The film is really funny and it look lively. Some scene really makes my belly sicks, just like a scene when stephen chow singing kareoke, its so bad that ppl start to throw bottle on his head...oh what a funny story

I loved the first half of the movie with Roland Emmerich seemingly back to form (from his disastrous "10,000 B.C."). But as the movie drags on, even the smallest character gets his "i have to say goodbye to my loved ones"-scene - which becomes quite annoying after you've watched this for the 5th time in a row. then comes a great destruction scene and then we're back in soap-opera territory. don't get me wrong, basically that can be said about most of Emmerich's movies - they are just popcorn cinema - leave your brain at the ticket counter. still, i enjoyed the likes of "Independence Day" or even "The Day After Tomorrow". But the one thing, he can't do properly is "good"-emotional cinema - which works fine in some of his other movies when his pathos-laden, goofy dialogue writing doesn't get in the way of the big explosions - it fit's, makes them funnier to a point. unfortunately this doesn't work for 2012. if somebody could actually cut this movie down to 90minutes running time, i'd even be lining up for a second ticket.
